Did you know that your school is a Title I school? That means we receive extra federal funding — because of the hard work our families and community put in every day — to provide additional learning support for our students. We use these funds to bring Reading Specialists and Coaches into our classrooms to give every child the boost they need to succeed.

We did it, East Pete! I cannot believe we have reached the end of a fantastic school year and are ready to move into a fun-filled summer. I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of our families for sharing your children with us this year. It is a gift that goes beyond words to see children grow and learn, and we at EPES have had a front row seat for all of it. We are so incredibly fortunate to have just the most amazing kids in our school! A special shout-out to our 6th grade graduates and all of their families, you are all going to go on to do amazing things!

As we move into the summer, I want to express my gratitude for all of your support in my first year as Principal at EPES. I truly, truly feel that I have the best job on the planet and love being at EPES, especially to be a member of our whole school team. Thank you to all of our faculty and staff who make our school the special place that it is every single day. Finally, thank you to all of YOU who have made magic in our schools every day, whether volunteering in the building, chaperoning trips, donating items, attending events, or more. Our whole community makes our school the amazing place it is.

This is a reminder to parents/guardians of current 6th-grade students regarding immunization requirements for 7th grade. This information is sent out early so the required immunizations can be scheduled at your child’s next wellness visit. For 7th-grade attendance, students will need 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) and 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate (MCV) prior to the first day of their 7th-grade year.

Registration for Football and Cheer is open through August 11th, and early numbers are already well ahead of recent years. Thank you for choosing MYAA. Froelich Park remains one of the most desired venues in the county — the lights, concessions, and atmosphere will make this season unforgettable for our athletes.

Eligibility: Any child who lives in the Hempfield School District is eligible to participate in Mountville Football or Cheer.

Car Wash & Fish/Chicken Platter Drive‑Up Fundraiser Saturday, July 25th • 12 PM – 6 PM • Froelich Park
